About the instructor, Shereen Manalani:

Shereen Manalani fell in love with Trinidad's folklore after training in a wide variety of dance forms. Her passion for this style lead to 25 years of study under internationally known dance master Wilfred Mark. She has taught at West Valley College and San Jose State University, and has been a guest instructor at Mission Cultural Center, Alice Arts Center, and Santa Clara University. She has brought fitness, cultural, and educational arts programs to dozens of schools and has presented arts education workshops to both teachers and artists.

Explore upbeat dance styles and other traditional forms that have evolved from the merging of African and South American cultures across the Caribbean. Folklore from Trinidad and Tobago, as well as live drumming, will inspire you to move your feet!

This class is geared toward adults; participants in their teens or younger with moderate dance class experience are also welcome to attend (with supervising adult).
