June 29, 2013
VENUE: Creekside Studios
Led by Olivia Chumacero, who speaks from an indigenous perspective, "Everything is Medicine" focuses on the healing, edible, and cultural gifts of our plant relatives. The session is not exclusive to plants, however: it imparts knowledge that encompasses our manner of walking on our planet as a whole, the ongoing kinship that we share with everything that sustains life, and the continuous gifts from our relatives - the plants, animals, water, air, and mother earth.
Space is limited. Contact the Box Office to RSVP at 408-961-5858 10am-4pm Monday-Friday
For all ages & families.
This workshop is presented as part of Owen Driggs' project for Art on the Grounds 2013, Mapping Biointimacy. Using digital mapping and GPS technologies alongside such more traditional interpretive strategies as signage, tours, and workshops, Mapping Biointimacy supports experiences of the natural world as a network of intimate relationships.
