Born in Tehran, Iran, Anita Amirrezvani worked for ten years as an arts writer at two Bay Area newspapers before publishing her first novel, The Blood of Flowers. Taking place in the17th century,the story is a tribute to the anonymous artisans of Iran. Amirrezvani speaks about her research in the city of Isfahan and her life as a writer.
