Tuesday, October 25, 2016, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Join us for wine and light refreshments as you network and share ideas with artists and fellow educators in an open and casual setting. Montalvo's Education Department will present moderated conversation topics ranging from current trends in education, pedagogical theories, issues in schools, classrooms, and our communities.
THIS MONTH'S TOPIC: HIP HOP CULTURE IN THE CLASSROOM
Educator Anthony Pineda (founder of the Creatrix Institute) will lead a conversation that explores how culturally relevant material—including hip hop and spoken word culture—can inspire diverse groups of students to express themselves creatively while both developing their emotional intelligence and advancing social responsibility. Learn more about Anthony Pineda here.
Bring a friend, colleague, or anyone else interested in the field of education who would like to join the discussion and connect with peers!
