How does an image reveal a person? In a visual sense, there is probably no better way to understand ourselves than by creating an insightful and meaningful self-portrait. In this workshop, you will view self-portraits by some of history’s most respected artists and photographers, discussing both the personal and technical aspects of each work. Building on this exploration, you will then create your own self-portraits, drawing inspiration from the masters and making use of the various techniques you’ve learned.
