VENUE: Historic Villa
Influential. No look at Beethoven is complete without considering the profound impact he had on other great artists. One of the world's most formidable musicians and geniuses, Felix Mendelssohn could not escape the gravity of Beethoven's eminence. In this remarkable quartet, Mendelssohn pays homage to some of the great musical ideas his predecessor explored in his incredible and profound Quartet Op. 132, also in A minor. Members enjoy an informal reception after the concert.
