Composer and multi-instrumentalist Marty Ehrlich is the second composer to be commissioned by Montalvo to write a new work for the Gunn High School jazz band. Ehrlich will workshop with Gunn as well as other local elementary, middle and high schools in 2009 and the work will be performed as part of Gunn High Schools annual concert. Ehrlich will lead the band during his own composition as well as perform with the band as a guest soloist.
