Grammy Award winner, master slack key guitarist George Kahumoku Jr., known as “Hawaii’s Renaissance Man” is joined with Dennis Kamakahi, award-winning slack key guitarist and prolific songwriter of many famous Hawaiian standards; Uncle Richard Ho’opi’l, ukulele and vocals; NEA Folk Arts Heritage Fellow for Hawaiian falsetto singing; Bobby Ingano, renowned lay steel guitar come together for an unforgettable evening in celebration of the true essence of aloha.
George Kahumoku Jr. is a multiple Na Hōkū Hanohano (Hawaiian Grammy) Award winner. His most recent compilation, Masters of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar, Vol. 2, captured him his fourth Grammy in January 2010. His music also appeared in the award-winning 2011 film The Descendants.
