Open Access is the Lucas Artists Program’s signature event series, designed to showcase artists’ work, offer a behind-the-scenes view into how they generate ideas, and provide a forum for dialogue.
For our February Open Access event, join vocalist and performance artist Jennifer Johns as she introduces us to her 2020 resolution of joy and fun through music, media, and movement; and hear from multidisciplinary artist Rafa Esparza, our first Santa Clara University/Lucas Artists Fellow, who uses live performance as his main mode of inquiry. Esparza will give insights into his practice and discuss his work with adobe structures as spaces through which people move. After the presentations, you’ll have an opportunity to ask additional questions and meet the artists.
