Searching for Spring is a musical journey that celebrates the history and meaning of the Persian New Year (Nowruz) throughout the millennia in places including Iran and many neighboring nations up to its movement across the globe in present times. In Searching for Spring, multi-instrumentalist Saideh Eftekhari shares her love for this celebration of spring’s arrival through storytelling, song, and dance. This lyrical journey ultimately highlights timeless tenets of Nowruz like renewal, forgiveness, and appreciation for friends, family and nature.
