Participating youth ages 9-14 will shine in Montalvo’s new musical theater program featuring scenes and songs from Broadway favorites! For two weeks, campers will receive vocal, movement and dance, and acting lessons from professional artists led by former Broadway actor Heather Stokes. Camp culminates in a performance at Montalvo’s Carriage House Theatre on Friday, July 23.
About the instructor:
Heather Stokes worked in New York for 10 years where she originated the role of "Jan" in Tommy Tune's revival of Grease. Her other roles included "Patricia" in Pretty Faces; the international tour of Annie; The Server, a film for Comedy Central; the Tony Awards; Miss America Pageant 1994; The Today Show; The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade; and The Rosie O'Donnell Show. Heather has directed numerous shows for the San Jose Children's Musical Theatre and at other theatres in the Bay Area.
