performs May 6
William Coulter of the Coulter/Philips Ensemble
Join us on on Sunday, May 6, at 3pm, as our Villa Chamber Music series concludes for the season with a lively performance by the Coulter/Philips Ensemble.
This Santa Cruz-area group performs traditional folk music from the Celtic, Scandinavian, and American traditions. Members range between guitar, cello, flute, harp, oboe, English horn, and tabla to generate a wide variety of sounds and styles - from rip roaring jigs and reels to contemplative Shaker hymns.
The ensemble, comprised of William Coulter and Barry & Shelley Phillips, all attended the prestigious San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Shelley went on to found the Community Music School in Santa Cruz, and all three members teach their craft at music festivals each summer. They have performed concerts in Ireland, Taiwan, Germany, and all over the US.
Purchase your tickets to this delightful performance online today, or call the Box Office at 408-961-5858 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.
