What will you find in
Montalvo Historical Fabrications & Souvenirs (A Pop-Up Shop)?
Under the moniker The Marianas*, artists Michael Arcega and Stephanie Syjuco have collaborated on Montalvo Historical Fabrications & Souvenirs (A Pop-Up Shop), a functioning shop with items for sale which is now open and on view in the Project Space Gallery.
What sorts of playful "historical" offerings will you find in the shop?
"Griffin Hatchling Feathers" and "Wild Griffin Feathers" are both on sale. "Harvested from the offspring of Montalvo's rare and endangered mythical guardians," these hand-crafted packets are available for just $2.99.
You can also pick up a bottle of Hetch Hetchy Elixir ($.99), an "East-West Diplomacy Kit" ($1.99), some mysterious "Mist of Montalvo" ($1.99), or pins featuring Senator Phelan, griffins, and more ($.99 each). When you stop by, strike up a conversation with Michael and Stephanie about their work, or you may get to see them in the back of the shop creating brand new historical fabrications!
This fun exhibition/store will be open through Friday, July 20.
