Final Friday Art Party:
Jen Shyu performs and
L O V E opens tomorrow

Jen Shyu

The forecast calls for rain, but the art party will go on at Montalvo tomorrow night, and you won't want to miss it!

Join us starting at 6pm in the Carriage House Theatre with a special performance by artist Jen Shyu. She will sing and play a couple of unique instruments—the moon lute and gayageum—in a musical performance inspired by the theme of love.

At 7pm, the Project Space Gallery will open for our new exhibition, L O V E: Creativity, Connection, Community. Be the first to see a variety of new works by artists Elisheva Biernoff, Double Zero, Alexandra Grant, Jon Meyer, Omar Mismar, Fiamma Montezemolo, Stephanie Taylor, and Allison Wiese.

Be sure to bring some cash for the delicious taco bar, and be ready to connect and participate in the evening, too! Double Zero will facilitate visitor interaction through a simple but fun game. And you can help Elisheva Biernoff in her search for pictures to turn into romance novel cover art by posing with a loved one in a photo booth on site.

We know it will be a stormy night for a drive up the hill, but your journey will be well worth it! We recommend you RSVP in advance; $10 suggested donation at the door.

See you at the art party!

Healthy moms
make healthy babies

Making Healthy Babies

Join us on Saturday, March 8, from 11am-2pm, for Body as Ecosystem: a special workshop on food and diet designed to help achieve optimal health for both mom and baby during and after pregnancy.

Created for anyone interested in becoming a healthy parent and led by Culinary Fellow Jessica Theroux, this class will teach nutrition and cooking for fertility, the nourishment of babies in utero, and supporting moms postpartum.

Part lecture, part interactive workshop, and a little bit of cooking, this is a great opportunity for both women and men to learn more about their bodies and how they can best approach the challenge of making healthy babies!

Space is limited; light lunch provided. Register today!
