Her new album, Something Almost Being Said, was released in January. The evening's program will include works by Bach, Brahms, Chopin, and others, plus a west coast premiere of Falsenfeld's The Cohen Variations.

Note: The Simone Dinnerstein concert was originally scheduled for January 14, but was postponed. Tickets for the January date will be honored at the February 26 performance.

April 12: A culinary
dinner event
with

Niki Ford & Tamar Adler

Niki Ford
Niki Ford, Montalvo's 2012 Culinary Fellow

On Thursday, April 12, at 7pm, join Montalvo's 2012 Lucas Artists Residency Program Culinary Fellow Niki Ford and Tamar Adler, former Chez Panisse cook and author of An Everlasting Meal, as they present a coming-of-age food tale written specifically for the evening

Adler's reading will be paired with a dinner (including wine) reflecting the meal described in the story. The event will be held in Montalvo's historic Villa.

Ford, who joined Montalvo in January 2012, cooked for six years at Chez Panisse in addition to multiple stints at the Rome Sustainable Food Project at the American Academy in Rome. Adler's An Everlasting Meal, a rumination on M.F.K. Fisher's How to Cook a Wolf, is a rallying cry for home cooking and eating with "economy and grace."

Tickets ($65; $50 for Members; or just $12 for Students with ID) are available through the Montalvo Box Office at 408-961-5858 10am-4pm Mon-Fri.
