Make a permanent
mark in our new
Garden Terrace

Grand Entrance & Garden Terrace Rendering

Would you like your name or the name of a loved one to be a part of the Montalvo experience for generations to come? Now it can be—when you make a gift to help fund our transformational Grand Entrance and Garden Terrace Project.

The project, which is in progress and set to be unveiled this June, revamps the west portion of our grounds to create new space for artistic programs and public events.

Included in the design are sections of beautiful brick, which can bear the name of donors like you!

Just $2,000 will earn you—or the person you dedicate your brick to—a permanent place in Montalvo's stunning landscape.

Additional naming opportunities are also available, including trees, benches, and more. Just click the button below to get started today. For more information, email Meghan Heath, Director of Major Gifts, or call 408-961-5806Put your name on a piece of history!

Teachers conference
explores growth mindset
Arts in Your Classroom 2016 Teachers Conference

We're excited to announce our 14th annual Arts in Your Classroom Teachers Conference in our historic Villa on Saturday, March 5, from 9am-4pm.

Designed for educators, artists, and administrators, the conference will include hands-on workshops, inspirational presentations, and opportunities to network with colleagues in your field.

This year's conference will focus on the concept of growth mindset, which helps break down notions that success and talent are innate—replacing them with the realization that we can all develop intelligence and master skills.

The day will begin with a keynote from internationally recognized linguistic anthropologist Shirley Brice Heath on the topic of "Challenge, Creativity, and Curiosity"—an exploration of how teachers can help their students find new paths to learning.

After the keynote, six workshops will be offered, with morning and afternoon sessions for each. Click here to learn more about the workshops. The day concludes with a networking reception with wine and hors d'oeuvres.

Teachers can also earn continued education credits by attending the conference in addition to our workshop on Relevancy: Project-Based Learning Through the Arts on Tuesday, April 11. Email learn@montalvoarts.org for more information.

Registration is just $25 per person. Click below or call the Box Office at 408-961-5858 10am-4pm Mon-Fri. When registering, please choose one A.M. & one P.M. workshop.
