Summer Camps: American Pop Star!

If you have kids, you know that it's never too early to start thinking about summer. With that in mind, we're ready to announce our complete 2016 Summer Camp schedule!

This year, our lineup consists of newer, bigger, and better versions of many of our most popular camps from the past few years. For example, we've expanded Cooking Up Fun to offer a full day of instruction, we've added sessions of Out on a Limb: Become a Treehouse Master to give you more options for enrolling your child, and we've updated some old favorites, like the exciting Spy Camp: Art Heist.

We are also debuting our new Maker Space series (Design Studio and Installation Art), where students will put their imaginations to work creating and transforming objects with the use of found and recycled materials. And we're bringing back other hands-on, three-dimensional camps like Mosaic Art, Upcycle: Furniture Redesign, and Woodworking: Sculpting with Wood.

Looking for theatre and performing arts camps? We've got two unique productions in our Let's Put On A Show series, channeling Peter Pan & Alice in Wonderland: Adventure in Neverland and Project Wonderland. After just one week of camp, students will take to the stage and put on a dazzling performance. Other offerings that are ideal for young performers include Circus Arts, You Can Ukulele, and American Pop Star.

Be sure to click the button below to see our entire list of 30 camps—which also include subjects ranging from drawing and painting to digital media, engineering, and more—all taught by local professional artists working in the disciplines they're instructing. With such a wide array of offerings, there’s truly a camp for every child!

Camps are all one week long and are scheduled between June 6 and August 5. Registration opens February 10 for Montalvo members and February 22 for the general public. If you're not a member and want to ensure your child's place in one of our camps, join today or call 408-961-5849.

Tinkering Workshops
for the family

Tinkering Workshops

Join us this spring—and bring the kids—for a series of Tinkering Workshops with Montalvo Teaching Artist Michele Guieu on February 27, March 26, and April 2 (all Saturdays) from 10am-12pm.

These hands-on workshops will get the whole family involved in the creative process as parents and kids will create art out of ordinary objects, solve puzzles creatively, and more. Each workshop will offer a different theme, but there are no rules or assignments—so feel free to branch out with your own artistic explorations!

We will provide various materials to tinker with, but guests are welcome do bring their own. Workshops are just $10 per person, with a 20% discount for any family of 4 or more.
