June 12: Los Lobos
& Preservation Hall Jazz Band

Los Lobos & Preservation Hall Jazz Band

Kick off your summer with an evening of lively music on Friday, June 12, as Los Lobos and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band take the stage of the outdoor Lilian Fontaine Garden Theatre!

Formed in 1973 in East L.A., Los Lobos fuses rock, blues, Tex-Mex, country, and R&B with Mexican folk music to create a unique sound that has connected with fans for more than 40 years. Their 1987 cover of "La Bamba" for the soundtrack of the hit movie catapulted them to fame, but they have continued to innovate with genre-busting music ever since.

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band has performed their New Orleans-style jazz for more than 50 years, with a rotating roster of some of the best players in the business. They have performed at Carnegie Hall, recorded with the Blind Boys of Alabama, and been awarded with a National Medal of Arts.

When you purchase your tickets, be sure to add Dining on the Terrace, our elegant pre-concert meal on the front veranda of the historic Villa. It's the perfect start to your summer concert experience at Montalvo.
