Lucas Artists Fellow

Gideon Fink Shapiro is an artist and writer whose interests span art and architecture. His collaboration with Amorphic Robot Works began in 2005 with the New York City public art commission, Floating Tree for Anable Basin. Shapiro has worked four years with New York City architecture office Gabellini Sheppard Associates. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, his writing has appeared in Architect Magazine, Abitare,, and other publications. In 2009, Shapiro assisted the curator Aaron Betsky with the exhibition, “Confines,” at the IVAM museum, Spain.
