Kathy Martinelli has been an advocate for arts education for as long as she can remember. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education, Certification in Grades K -12, her teaching career has included Visual Arts instruction in both elementary and secondary schools on the east and west coasts. Her graduate studies earned her a certification in non-profit Association Management, where she worked for both professional and trade organizations.
Kathy’s children became involved in the performing arts and led her to a lengthy relationship with Children’s Musical Theater San Jose. She was the Treasurer of the Parent’s Auxiliary for nine years and a member of the Board of Directors for two years. She has also served on other boards including two Homeowners Associations, the Institute of Organization Management Board of Regents, the Community School of Music and Arts, and the Archbishop Mitty Parents Association.
Kathy has been on the visual arts faculty of the Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View for the last three years as well as an active community volunteer. She lives in San Jose with her daughter Michelle.
