Seamus O'Bryan is a community organizer and a social action artisan. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Arizona specializing in theatre arts education and has worked in many facets of the entertainment industry. For the past few years he has worked with multiple arts institutions to create Tony Award winning theater, social awareness events, and arts education programming. The primary focus of his artistic work is as a Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) practitioner. Trained in part by Augusto Boal (founder of TO), Mr. O'Bryan has worked to promote community involvement and public action in several countries.
Currently Mr. O'Bryan works with Project MARC, a humanitarian aid group that operates in the island nation of Vanuatu. As one of three active directors he oversees programming for the organization and supervises expeditions to remote communities. Project MARC works with multiple organizations including the US Peace Corps, UNICEF, and Rotary International.
While in the United States, Mr. O'Bryan works with the La Jolla Playhouse, the UCSD School of Theater and Dance, and as a freelance photographer and video production specialist.
