The Golden Egg Canopy (2010, from the HAYWIRE series) depicts an egg-shaped canopy that once possibly protected a giant egg lifting away from the ground. The glowing gold-leaf underside of the brilliant blue canopy suggests the missing Golden Egg, a symbol of perfection and things not necessarily attainable. The freestanding sculpture, which seemingly floats across the property, is approximately 14' tall and is anchored on a grassy knoll on the West Lawn.
