The restoration project, which has been made possible by grants from the HEDCO Foundation, the Hind Foundation, and the Santa Clara County Historical Heritage Commission, includes repairs on the nearly 100-year-old steps and veranda to ensure the Villa's availability as a place for recreation, education, and enjoyment by the community in the future.
Other recent gifts:
Continuing success at Montalvo's Sally and Don Lucas Artist Residency Program. In December, the James Irvine Foundation made a new three-year grant of $225,000 to support residencies for California artists at Montalvo. The funding renews Montalvo's commitment to support the work of California artists while creating unique opportunities for advancing the creative process in a residency setting that fosters a global exchange of ideas.
