Montalvo Service Group is the auxiliary that has supported Montalvo Arts Center since 1954. MSG’s fund-raising and volunteer service hours have made invaluable contributions to the upkeep of Montalvo Arts Center and the enhancement of Montalvo’s programs.
MSG Fundraising events
- Summer luncheons on the veranda – each Wednesday in July and August
- Champagne brunches on selected holidays
- Holiday Tea and Marketplace in the festively decorated historic villa

Other MSG Activities
- As education and outreach volunteers, we greet and host the elementary school age children that come on field trips to see the shows in the Carriage House Theatre.
- Our Sewing Group meets each Tuesday to make the lovely items that are sold in our holiday baskets and to create handmade items for raffle at our events.
- The Gourmet Dinner Committee cooks fabulous dinners served in the Historic Villa’s Dining Room for 10 friends of our lucky raffle ticket winners 2-3 times per year.
- Canners and bakers in the group make all the jams, jellies for our holiday baskets and yummy cookies for our holiday events.
Join Us!
At the beginning of each year we open our membership to new volunteers interested in becoming members. It’s not all work, we have many members’ only social events and meetings with guest speakers and luncheons to follow. This is truly a group where you may find some great friends and spend time up at Montalvo enjoying its special magic.
