Scott Benesiinaabandan is Anishinaabe and member of Obishkkokaang / Lac Seul First Nations. He is an intermedia artist who currently works in experimental image making and sonic materials. He is currently resident in Montreal, where he has completed a MFA. in photography. His current research interests are at the intersections of artificial-intelligence and Anishinaabemowin. He has completed international residencies at Parramatta Artist Studios (Australia), Context Gallery (Derry, North of Ireland) and University of Lethbridge / Royal Institute of Technology iAIR residency, along with international collaborative projects in both the UK and Ireland. Benesiinaabandan has completed residencies with Initiative for Indigenous Futures and AbTec in Montreal.
