Nestled in the foothills of Silicon Valley, Montalvo Arts Center is 175 acres of pure inspiration. We are a multidisciplinary arts center and nonprofit organization serving the South Bay and beyond with a diverse range of arts, education, and community programs. We are also a public park, open daily from 8am–sunset for visits to our gardens, hiking trails, and outdoor artworks.

As winter winds down on our beautiful grounds and spring weather approaches, it’s the perfect time to consider bringing family and friends to Montalvo to hike, explore the gardens, and see our collection of Art on the Grounds.

Spring also marks the return of our Performing Arts Series for Students, which is a great way for Bay Area youth to get out of the classroom and experience the arts through live, educational shows. I can’t wait to see school buses on our grounds once again and hear the voices of inspired kids as they explore Montalvo! Of course, over the summer, hundreds more students will also be here, spending their weekdays in one of our creative Summer Camps. Those courses—performing arts, visual arts, even treehouse-building!—are on sale now and filling up quickly, so if you are looking for summer activities for your family, be sure to sign them up now.

Meanwhile, performances continue in the Carriage House Theatre, and I’m particularly excited about some of the new acts coming to our stage: Perla Batalla will present songs and stories from her longtime friend Leonard Cohen (March 18); Grammy-winning fiddler Mark O’Connor is joined by his wife Maggie (March 24) for an energetic show; Martha Redbone’s “Bone Hill: The Concert” (April 28) is a completely unique and unforgettable night of music and storytelling; and I can’t wait to see the hip-hop violin twins from Brazil, B2wins (May 12). These are just a few of the amazing shows we have coming up! Many of our other summer programs will also be announced in the next few months, so keep an eye on our calendar and sign up for our email list so you don’t miss a thing.

While you’re here, you can learn about our mission and vision, see all of our upcoming events, and dive into our inspiring Sally and Don Lucas Artists Residency Program. You can join our fantastic community of Montalvo supporters by becoming a donor

There’s something for everyone at Montalvo…stART here!
