Tonight I used fire to cook the meal. I wanted a vegetable centric meal. What inspired me? New residents who have come great distances!

This would be a menu to inspire comfort :
In the wood-fired oven, I cooked
red radishes with olive oil and sea salt
carrots with cardamom
brussels sprouts with date syrup

And on the mesquite grill I cooked
lamb leg brochettes with rosemary and garlic
potatoes with smoked tofu for those who don’t eat meat
locally-grown brown rice, with three sauces: tahini, garlic, and ginger
mixed chili peppers with vinegar
and a mint cumin yogurt sauce!
