Lisa Ramirez is an actor and playwright, whose work has been widely produced in the United States. Her play TO THE BONE had successful sold-out runs at the Cherry Lane Theatre in New York and the Oakland Theater Project. The play was a finalist for the 2011 NPN Smith Price, the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, the Ellen Stewart Award, and the New York Community Trust Helen Merrill Emerging Playwriting Award.

Lisa has performed and presented her plays at Cherry Lane Theatre, Oakland Theater Project, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, Playmakers Rep, Center Theatre Group, and Working Theater. Her plays include EXIT CUCKOO (nanny in motherland); Art of Memory; Pas de Deux (lost my shoe); TO THE BONE; In the Mountains; DOWN HERE BELOW; More than Grapes; sAiNt jOaN (burn/burn/burn); Book of Sand (a fairytale) and ALL FALL DOWN. She is currently working on two new plays, SHE SE PUEDE (Chorus of Huertas) about the life of activist and icon, Dolores Huerta, and REMEMBER ME REMEMBER about people in an elderly facility living with major neurocognitive disorder (commonly known as dementia).
