“Lisa Fischer in concert is addictive. Every performance is so enriching, so exciting, so transcendent that you want more.”
Fischer’s presence onstage is equal parts precision and abandon, a rare combination that makes every phrase feel freshly discovered. A Grammy Award–winning vocalist with a voice built for both intimacy and lift-off, she can move from a hushed, close-to-the-mic confession to a full-throated crescendo in a single breath—always with phrasing that feels conversational, unforced, and unmistakably her own. It’s the kind of command that made her an indispensable collaborator for decades, the rare singer other artists trust to elevate a moment without ever losing the heart of the song.
That history is woven into her sound. Before stepping fully into center stage, Fischer became the ultimate musical ally—touring and recording alongside legends including Luther Vandross, Sting, Tina Turner, Nine Inch Nails, and, most famously, the Rolling Stones, where she spent 26 years bringing fire and finesse to arenas around the world. Even after her breakthrough hit “How Can I Ease the Pain” and her 1992 Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, she kept choosing the work that inspired her: the thrill of ensemble, the challenge of harmony, and the art of serving the music at the highest level.
Today, she carries all of that experience into performances that feel personal, fearless, and wide open. Whether she’s in an intimate duo with jazz pianist Taylor Eigsti, raising the roof with Ranky Tanky, shaping luminous atmospheres with Alonzo King LINES Ballet, or exploring the genre-blurring palette of Grand Baton with arranger and string wizard JC Maillard, Fischer turns every collaboration into a fresh conversation. The result is a night that’s as virtuosic as it is welcoming—an invitation to hear familiar sounds anew, and to follow one of America’s great singers wherever the next phrase leads.
