After receiving his Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, McIntyre co-founded SF-based film production company Hotbed Media with fellow director Un Su Lee. McIntyre has since directed numerous commercials and short films winning awards in both categories. His shorts, Reconocer and Capri, enjoyed TV, DVD and Internet distribution. McIntyre is preparing to direct his first, and Hotbed’s third, feature film entitled Valley of the Sun, a comedy slated to begin shooting in Fall 2005.
