Laurie Kirk teaches Drawing, Painting and Design at Pioneer to both beginning and advanced level students. She has taught art in San Jose Unified since 1990. She is a graduate of Los Gatos High School. She earned her BA in Art and Cultural Studies at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington in 1987. Laurie also earned her Masters of Education in Instructional Design and Technology from San Jose State in 2004. As a professional artist, Laurie continues to work in a variety of media and materials. Her hobbies inlcude flyfishing, gardening, and cooking.
