Andy Fedak is an artist working with video, sound, and computer graphics. After receiving his BFA in Film and Television from New York University, he quickly moved on to work in the commercial film/tv industries of Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. Disillusioned with the ability of the artist to fully find him/herself within the commercial world Fedak applied to get his MFA from the University of California, Irvine. He now works and teaches in Los Angeles and New York on projects that blur the line between contemporary art and cinema, dealing with subject matter of social unrest and anarchist utopias. His work has shown at laxart in Los Angeles, The Laguna Art Museum, the University of California, Irvine, and other film festivals. Currently Fedak is an Assistant Professor of Computer Art in the Transmedia Program at Syracuse University.
