Brian Howe is an artist and architect in Los Angeles, California. He received a BArch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in 2006. At the same time, he co-founded (with Freya Bardell) Greenmeme, a design firm/collaborative studio focusing on the possibilities for material, cultural, and conceptual sustainability in public art, architecture and landscape design. Howe is currently a fellow at Montalvo Arts Center, researching strategies for transcending disciplinary boundaries in art, science, and technology as part of Greenmeme’s “Wired Wilderness” project, a finalist proposal in the San Jose Climate Clock Global Initiative.
