Ivana Massetti is a filmmaker based in Rome and L.A.  Her most recent work includes the film Nadro, which recounts the life of the Ivory Coast artist Frédéric Bruly Bouabré, who developed a multi-faceted body of work over the last forty years drawing on African roots, scarification, mathematics, advertisements, and politics.

She and husband/partner Jon Sperry are currently working on three projects: writing the screenplay for a film adapted from a book on the life of Leonardo da Vinci, by the British author Jonathan Routh; seeing to the production into film of their last script, Roman Gladiator; and writing and producing a series of shorts based on autobiographical stories (hers and James Earl Jones’) on children who did not speak but found their voices through art.
