Julie Van Dewark is the Visual Arts
Resource Teacher at Trace Elementary School in San Jose. This summer, she begins her lucky
13th year as an arts educator working (and making art) with students
and teachers in Santa Clara County public schools.
Julie says, “I don’t always like making mistakes, but I do like trying new things.
I’ve often learned more and have gotten better results when I’ve taken a
risk and dealt with the unknown.”
