Kalisolaite Uhila

Born in Tonga and living in
New Zealand, performance artist Kalisolaite ‘Uhila draws inspiration from daily
routines and everyday actions. Since graduating from AUT with a Bachelor in
Visual Arts in 2010, there has been great public and media interest in his
performances. Often drawing inspiration from his heritage and environment,
‘Uhila blends his cultural practice and powerful performance together to
highlight his own unique perspective of the world in which he lives. The
artist is currently studying towards his Masters in Performance and Media
Arts at Auckland University of Auckland and has exhibited throughout New
