Video Designer

Laura Oxendine is a multi-disciplinary artist with a focus on digital video, motion graphics, and typography.  She is especially drawn to the interaction of ephemeral media and tangible objects, and this interest is evident through her series of artist books that repurpose video stills and voiceover text.  Oxendine recently screened at Up-and-Coming International Film Festival in Hannover, Germany.  Oxendine is also a member of MPG: Mobile Performance group. MPG is an artist collective using custom software to create real-time video and audio performances outside the bounds of traditional venues.  MPG has performed at ISEA 2006 in San Jose, ProvFlux in Providence, and Full Load in Miami. Oxendine recently received her Master of Fine Arts in Photography, Video and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts located in New York City.  She currently lives and works in New York City.
