Lizabeth Eva Rossof (b.1973, USA) is an
MFA candidate from the Conceptual Information Arts Department at San
Francisco State University; she has received both the Thomas J Watson
and the Jacob K Javits Fellowship Awards for her research-based art
practice. Lizabeth’s current projects investigate the imagined,
fantasy identities that are constructed in the mind when only limited
public information on real people is perceived. She acts as a
surveillor collecting mediated information of her subjects online,
through television and in periodicals. Lizabeth then creates an
algorithm (unique to each project) through which the gathered data is
processed and her subjects’ portrait is rendered.
