Margaret Honda is a visual artist who lives and works in Los Angeles. She has had one-person exhibitions at the Drawing Center, New York and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Her work has been included in group exhibitions at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Nash Gallery, University of Minnesota; Kunsthalle Wien, Vienna; Cranbrook Art Museum, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; and most recently at Estacion Tijuana, Mexico as part of the 2008 California Biennial. She has produced projects with North Drive Press and Art Journal. Honda received an M.A. from the Winterthur Program in Early American Culture at the University of Delaware and a B.A. in Art History from the University of California, San Diego. For her Montalvo residency, Honda will be working on a project based on the models of Antoni Gaudí and the drawings of Santiago Ramón y Cajal.
