Margarita Soyfertis

Margarita Soyfertis is multi-faceted artist, who began her work in theatre design.  Working both locally and internationally, Soyfertis has designed costumes and sets for numerous theatrical productions.  In the early 2000s, Soyfertis turned her attention to mosaic art and has since transformed the traditional 2-dimensional technique into a sculptural practice, as she creates mosaics upon 3-dimensional structures.  Her mosaic installations, both mural and sculptural, can be found in Bay Area art centers and schools, as well as international public artworks in Dublin and beyond.  Soyfertis has taught visual arts to students all ages, including time at the Community School of Music and Art in Mountain View and the Palo Alto Arts Center.
