Shelley Wong is the author of As She Appears, winner of the Pamet River Prize, longlisted for the 2022 National Book Award for Poetry, and a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Poetry. She is an affiliate artist at Headlands Center for the Arts and lives in San Francisco. Her poems have appeared in American Poetry Review, Best American Poetry, Kenyon Review, New England Review, and The New Republic. She is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize and fellowships and residencies from Kundiman, MacDowell, Vermont Studio Center, I-Park Foundation, Fire Island National Seashore, and SPACE. In 2022, she received an individual artist grant from the San Francisco Arts Commission to support her second book project.
