Surendran
Nair was born in Onakoor, Kerala in 1956. After receiving a BFA (Painting) from
the College of Fine Arts in Kerala, Nair was awarded a Post Diploma in printmaking from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S.
University of Baroda. Nair’s work has
been exhibited at solo shows in India as well as group shows in India,
Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, China, and Singapore. Nair’s
most recent residency was at the Civittella Ranieri Centre in Perugia,
Italy. Nair’s works can be
found in public and private collections in India and abroad.
