Overview

Montalvo Arts Center’s Art on the Grounds provides artists with opportunities to develop and present new works in a 175-acre public park. From the redwood and live oak forest to the lawn, succulent garden and various buildings, artists are encouraged to experiment with innovative ways of creating art and engaging with people in Montalvo’s diverse grounds.

Marcus Exhibition & Festival

Each year, Montalvo’s summer art exhibition and festival features programs and events that engage the community while exploring a theme. The opening Marcus Festival celebration is an evening event that launches the exhibition while featuring performances and engagements with the artists. The Marcus Exhibition remains on view through the summer, free for the public to visit during Montalvo’s regular hours, with additional related programs scheduled throughout.
