“One Night in Memphis is a hoppin’, rockin’ hit! A bravura of extraordinary musicians; great showmen and a classy group to work with. Our audience loved it!”
ONE NIGHT IN MEMPHIS is a rocking concert show honoring Sun Records recording artists Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash in their prime and when they all got together and jammed one night in Memphis on December 4th, 1956 at Sam Phillip’s Sun Studios. It features over 90 minutes of rockabilly, country, gospel and pure 1950’s rock and roll music performed live and backed by an authentic and energetic backup band. Created and directed by John Mueller from the highly acclaimed show, “Winter Dance Party” this show has met with the same accolades, sell out shows and audience standing ovations.
It has a stellar Pollstar average attendance revenue gross rating and is critically acclaimed as well. Be a witness to a rock and roll royalty jam session with the music and talent that has stood the test of time and the great camaraderie of the performers, with laughs and audience involvement as well. Fantastic venue reviews.
True American music featuring the hits, “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Whole lotta Shaking Going On,” “Shake, Rattle and Roll,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Hound Dog,” and many, many more with acclaimed national talent including former cast members of the Broadway smash hit musical, “Million Dollar Quartet.”
as Elvis Presley
At the tender age of 9 years old Jacob first got his exposure to Elvis Presley’s music and was forever hooked. He entered his first Elvis contest at the age of 16 in Yuma, AZ at the Elvis Presley Expo and became the youngest ever grand champion to win the event. He’s still to this day one of the youngest Elvis Presley tribute artists out there and is garnering fans and accolades all across the United States. He has performed in over 100 different Elvis shows and continues touring and living his dream of keeping Elvis’s music alive for all.
as Carl Perkins
John Mueller’s “Winter Dance Party” show honoring the legacy of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper has been critically acclaimed for over 20 years and is the only show endorsed by the Holly, Valens and Richardson estates. “One Night in Memphis” was created by John in 2014 by virtue of many venues requesting a show from him featuring the music of the four legends in their prime; Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash. Initially started as a part time project it grew in popularity so much that today it has two different groups that tour. The show is based on what became known as the “Million Dollar Quartet” on December 4th, 1956 when these legends were all caught on tape jamming at Sam Phillips Sun Records Studio in Memphis, TN.
as Johnny Cash
Born and raised in Anaheim California, Neil Morrow always had a unique taste in music. At an early age, Neil was not drawn to the current styles of music but the music that was coined by DJ Alan Freed as “Rock and Roll.” Morrow soon began to take up the piano and guitar and learned the styles of his favorites such as Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Buddy Holly. But it wasn’t Morrow’s instrument skills that got the attention of others, it was his voice. His singing style has a familiar tone and range to everyone from Johnny Cash to Roy Orbison. After performing in many talent competitions, Neil decided to form a band and pay tribute to his favorite music of the 50’s. It was sometime after Neil was approached to play piano for the nationally touring show “Buddy, Roy and Elvis.” It was soon after that Neil was brought to the front of the stage as Roy Orbison. A natural entertainer, Neil has since 2012 been featured as Johnny Cash with “One Night in Memphis” and always looks forward to the show.
