Jonathon Bout

Jonathon Bout is a talented artist and educator who brings creativity and innovation to Montalvo’s Summer Camp as our Fort Making instructor. With a Master of Fine Arts from San Francisco State University and extensive teaching experience across California, Jonathon has a unique ability to inspire young minds through hands-on artistic exploration. He has taught all levels of Art education from Graduate Instructor of Record at San Francisco State University to his current position teaching TK – 5th grade Art for the Eureka City School District. His background in sculpture, installation art, and collaborative projects makes him the perfect guide for campers as they design, build, and imagine their own creative structures. Jonathon’s teaching philosophy is that creativity blossoms through collaboration and a childlike joy of making. His goal is that every camper leaves not only with newly honed skills, but the unforgettable experience of building their dream fort this summer.
