Andre Woodward is a Southern California artist whose work examines the complicated relationship we have with nature. He received his MFA Cum Laude from California State University Long Beach, and a BA from The University of California at Irvine. Woodward’s work has been exhibited internationally and is a Montalvo Lucas Artists Fellow. His most recent work examines the lives of the oldest, heaviest, and tallest living organisms on the planet: Ancient Bristlecones, Giant Seqouia, and Coastal Redwoods. He’s deeply interested in the contemporary landscape surrounding us, has fond memories of teaching high school, and is exited for his first camp season at Montalvo.

We are delighted to welcome Andrew back to Montalvo!!
