Daniel Godínez Nivón (Mexico City, 1985) is an artist whose practice is linked to processes of social participation related to collective knowledge and education. He has developed his work in context-specific scenarios, such as indigenous migrant associations and academic institutions.

He studied at the Multiple Media Seminar at the Faculty of Arts and Design of the UNAM in Mexico, then undertook a residency at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, The Netherlands (2021-2022). His work has been shown, screened and performed among others at the Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo, Museo Tamayo (both in Mexico), VanAbbe Museum and Stedelijk Museum in The Netherlands, Kunsthalle Bern in Switzerland and Amant Foundation In New York City. In 2022 he receives the Prince Claus Mentorship Award issued by the Prince Claus Fund, that same year he is selected to represent Mexico in the 23rd International Exhibition of the Milan Triennale and wins the 2nd best Pavilion. He is currently a member of the National System of Creators of Mexico.
