Namita Paul is a San Francisco-based artist. Drawing from personal and political histories, Paul’s work engages with themes of home, rupture, repair, architectural space, memory, and time. Her current work is an exploration of the ways in which physical spaces we have inhabited stay with us long after we have left them. Through material and form, Paul makes visible markers of personal and collective memories. Her idea-based work guides her studio practice, which includes large-scale installation, drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles, and photography. Namita Paul holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts and an MA in Cultural Studies from the University of Washington and is currently pursuing her MFA at the California College of the Arts.
