Meet Our Summer Camp Instructor
Sheila Della Ratta
Meet Sheila Della Ratta, a dedicated teaching artist who has been inspiring creativity in the Bay Area for over 12 years. Sheila brings a wealth of expertise in ceramics, mixed media, glass fusion, printmaking, and more to students of all ages. With advanced skills in hand-building, potter’s wheel techniques, surface decoration, and kiln operation, she creates engaging learning experiences that emphasize self-expression and community building. Currently, Sheila teaches ceramics at Summit Tahoma Charter High School’s expeditions program, leads multiple classes at Blossom Village Homeschool COOP and A Team Homeschool Community (including a popular glass fusion class), and developed the ceramics curriculum at Discovery Charter School. Her approach focuses on individualized learning and social-emotional development, making her an exceptional educator who understands how art serves as a powerful language for communication and personal growth.
We’re thrilled to welcome Sheila to our summer camp this year!
