The vintage cottage is perfect for all-day meetings and retreats for 2-14 guests. Lunch can be served indoors in the cottage, outdoors in a private garden, or combined with the Villa. An afternoon/evening cocktail reception could follow in the Oval Garden, Spanish Courtyard or in the Villa.
Carriage House Theatre
The Carriage House Theatre (indoors) seats 300 comfortably and can be used for training, sales presentations, product launches, comedy shows, film screenings and more. It is equipped with professional sound/lighting, dressing rooms and our own professional production staff.
The outdoor Garden Theatre, home to our famous summer concerts, is available for corporate events. It is an intimate theatre set against the hills surrounded by 100-year-old trees and original Montalvo sculptures. A crowd of 200 is not too small and we can accommodate up to 1,100 guests for your live stage performance.
The Historic Villa
The Villa features original early California/Mediterranean interiors with hardwood floors, exotic paneled walls, original lighting fixtures, french doors opening to the outdoors and three fireplaces. The lower level features a library (filled with the Senator's books and ephemera), grand staircase, main hall, dining room, solarium, and a professional caterer's kitchen. The elegant veranda sweeps around the Villa, overlooking the Great Lawn, allowing outdoor dining for up to 300 guests in the warmer months. Behind the Villa adjacent to the Main Hall is the Spanish Courtyard, perfect for outdoor intimate luncheons, dinners and evening cocktail receptions.
The upper floor of the Villa offers three large dressing rooms (former guest bedrooms) and foyer, all of which can be used as green rooms for entertainers and event production staff. A fully equipped kitchen is adjacent to the green rooms for your entertainment caterer. The upstairs foyer has a large fireplace, comfortable furniture and breathtaking view of the Oval Garden and surrounding hills. The dressing rooms feature french doors opening to a balcony overlooking the Great Lawn, perfect for VIP entertainers or staff.
Great Lawn & Love Temple
The Great Lawn can be used for team-building activities, picnics for up to 2,000 guests, and may be tented for large events.
At the south end of the Great Lawn is the Love Temple. An historic garden with dramatic iron gates, marble statues and a long paved path leading to the Love Temple. The perfect setting for a wedding or private reception for 20-140 guests.
For intimate events the Oval Garden, located behind the Spanish Courtyard, can be used for cocktail receptions and seated dinners. For larger events, it can be used in addition to the other areas for multiple food & wine stations. The Oval Garden is also used for wedding ceremonies for up to 300 guests.
